Misunderstanding | The-Story-Writer

Misunderstanding:

Monday morning: The sun is shining. The birds are singing. The children are playing in the village square. "What a wonderful time to be alive!"

On the same day, like others, the Bankers of Microfinance Bank were engaged in bank stuff. Monday, this day, it starts for them like a usual one but they have no idea what is going to happen to them. But don’t worry soon they will realize…….

One of the bankers was assigned to manage the old files, when he was busy in his work, suddenly, his face expressions changed, he found something suspicious and rush toward the manager’s office.

Banker: Sir you need to see this.

Manager: What happed? Why you look so uncomfortable?

Banker: Sir one of the loaner hasn’t paid his monthly dues since last year. “He speaks to the manager with awe”

Manager: How this could happen?

Banker: (Eyes down, no response…..feel ashamed).

Manager: Show me the file.

Banker: Yes sir,,, (respond with hesitation).

Manager: I cannot imagine that you people can be so irresponsible.

Banker: Sir, I have no idea how and why this file has missed?

Manager: Missed?…. Idiot,,, this man hasn’t paid his dues since last year,,,,,, a complete year,,,, and you are still defending yourself.

Banker: Sir…

Manager: No more arguments……inform the bank staff, take the bank van off, we have to go to collect Bank dues.

The man (Loaner) is from the nearest Village

Around 5 to 6 Bankers and a Manager went to the village to search for a man to recover bank dues. They finally reached after two hours of traveling. As they entered the village, they saw all the villagers were running here and there. Villagers furious wondering made bankers confused. As the bankers step out form van, villagers started shouting, bankers hesitated, some of the villagers rush to their homes and come back with axe, truncheon, barrel stave, and even some people pick up stones, and started towards the bankers with an expression on their faces that indicated trouble. “Bankers held their breath”, villagers treated bankers like a ferocious animal, and warn them, leave the village, otherwise, it won’t be good for you. Villagers threaten, and never taking their eyes off the bankers.

Bankers to Manger: Sir, (low and scared voice)….leave them.

Manager: “We can’t”, “We must have to collect dues.”

Banker: Sir, don’t you see their fierce temper, they are in full mood to kill us.

Manager: but why they are doing that?

Banker; Simple… they don’t want to return bank loan.

 (Villagers: continue pointing, threatening, abusing)

Banker: Sir leave them for now, we will come back with the police.

Manager: No, we have to talk to them….

Bankers: (Pleaded),, Sir leave them….

Manager: We will not do it “the Manager Retorted”, if anyone left will be fired. We must have to do our job, no matter how many difficulties we had to surmount.

Manager: (looked toward villagers and shouted) We want to talk.. We are not here to harm you. We are just doing our job.

Villagers: (In aggressive mood) we know your job; you cannot kill us, we are fit and fine, we are not infected.

(Manager and bankers, what is going on why we kill them?)

Manager: Why would we kill you? (Asked In confused voice).

(One of the villager steps forward) and said we know you are Doctors; you come here to inject us Covid-19 Injections.

Manager and bankers……release long breath and laugh so hard.

Manager: Shouted….. We are Bankers, not doctors… Bankers cleared their purpose of coming. Both the parties laugh at their stupidities.

This story may not be described with minute accuracy but the sum and substance of it are correct.

Hyderabad is in Sindh province, Pakistan. It is one of the Historical city of Sindh, Hyderabad is 193 km away from Dadu. Hyderabad is the second multinational and trading city in Sindh, Pakistan. Let’s Start it….. It happened in a way that, One of our friends from Hyderabad invited us for his marriage ceremony. We warm welcome to his invitation and decided to attend his ceremony. On the very next morning I, with my friends, take the local Van to reach Hyderabad. The Van left us on Hyderabad’s Van Stop, as it was our first time in Hyderabad so we were unaware of its roads and routes. Even we have no idea, that how far it is. In order to reach on the given address we turn on the Google Map, after turning it on it gives us options like are you in Train, Bus, Car or by foot, we click on by foot....
